Horizon 天际
This English lyric is a translation of the Chinese song 天际 which was first recorded by 姜玉阳 in 2019 and has since inspired several reinterpretations by other artists. Songwriter 戴春磊 crafted both its melody and its original lyrics..
At its heart, Horizon 天际 is a quiet nocturne of loss. The lyrics follow a solitary protagonist weeping through the night, caught in memories of a former lover. Longing lingers in every line, shadowed by a sense of regret that cannot be undone. In its closing image, the song turns skyward: a falling star vanishes into the vastness above, a stark and haunting metaphor for a love that has reached its end.

In many Mandarin or Cantonese lyrics, we may sometimes find an English word or two, or maybe even an English phrase, e.g. “Will you still love me tomorrow?” in Angus Tong's title of the same name. In this English adaptation of 天际, Chunjiro retained the original Mandarin words 我爱你 in the English lyrics.
